SOMERVILLE (FOX 25 / myfoxboston.com) - Police have released a composite sketch of a man they believe was involved in the indecent assaults on two women earlier this month.
On May 6, the suspect assaulted two women in the span of two hours.
At around 10:30 p.m., a 21 year old female reported that she was walking on Main Street from Broadway when she heard the sound of footsteps. She observed a man following her. Less than 10 seconds later, the man grabbed her from behind and assaulted her. She was able to resist and run to a safe location, but the suspect was gone.
Shortly after midnight, a 30 year old female was walking home from a pub in Ball Square on Broadway when she realized a man was following her. He followed her for a period of time before he assaulted her. She screamed, startling the suspect and causing him to flee.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, weighing approximately 180 lbs. He appeared to be young, probably in his twenties. He had dark “fresh buzz cut hair style; neat and particular,” a beard and a mustache. He was wearing blue plaid shorts, a blue hooded sweatshirt and Keds type sneakers.
If anyone has any information regarding the suspect or either incident they are encouraged to contact Somerville Police at 617-625-1212. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by texting 617SPD and your message to Tip411 (847411).
