PITTSBURGH, Penn. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Talking to reporters in Pennsylvania Tuesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said there is no timeline for a decision on Brady’s appeal of the deflategate suspension.
TribLive reports that Goodell said it is a focus for him, but that he wants to get it right.
“We are focused on it,” Goodell said. “We are obviously being very thorough and want to make sure we consider all aspects of his appeal. We will make a decision as quickly as possible.”
Brady is currently suspended for the first four game of the decision, but last month he met with Goodell as part of the appeals process with hopes of reducing or eliminating the suspension.
“There is no timeline. We want to make sure we have a fair and open process,” Goodell said.
The Patriots open their season Sept. 10 at Gillette Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
