CHARLESTON, S.C. (MyFoxBoston.com) — A potential setback for the recovery of the dog that has won the hearts of most of the country, now has good news.
Officials with Charleston Animal Society thought that surgery was going to be needed on Caitlyn's chin after the wound opened, WCSC reported.
But as of Friday morning, doctors said the surgery was not needed. The rescue group posted the update to its Facebook page.
On Monday, The Charleston Animal Society updated its followers on her progress and said that Caitlyn is "healing very nicely."
