PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- Jeb Bush still has not officially declared he's running for president but he was back in New Hampshire on Wednesday, and he talked about his family, Iraq and Hillary Clinton.
At a business roundtable in Portsmouth, Florida Governor Jeb Bush admitted he got off to a rough start when he struggled to answer questions about Iraq last week. He chalked it up to mishearing the reporter.
Then, when FOX25 political reporter Sharman Sacchetti approached him after the event was over, he took a swipe at Hillary Clinton.
"I want to make sure that we get more questions asked here than she's been asked the entire campaign," he said.
He's referring to Secretary Clinton not answering reporter questions for a month, including during her last trip to New Hamsphire.
She broke that silence only yesterday, and Sacchetti asked Bush about it.
"Do you think voters should be concerned about that?" Sacchetti asked.
"Well, she started asking questions, I'm sure she'll do more of it, I hope. I mean if you're going to be a candidate or think about being a candidate it's part of the process for sure. Happy to answer your questions," he said.
"You got off to a rocky start," Sacchetti said. "Sounds like you're hitting the reset button. Embracing your family?"
"Look I'm not going to be in the witness protection program. I'm a Bush. I'm proud of it," he said.
After his rocky week, Governor Bush indeed hitting the restart, moving his messaging to the economy, education, and how the middle class is shrinking.
Naturally on the way out, Sacchetti asked the Dolphins fan about Tom Brady.
"Should Tom Brady keep appealing?" Sacchetti asked.
"I'm a huge Brady fan," Bush laughed. "I love Tom Brady."
Proving candidates will say just about anything to cater to New Hampshire.
His appearances Wednesday were part of a two day swing through the Granite State.
