BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- MBTA passengers are feeling more frustration Friday night after trying to board at a brand new stop.
Riders attempted to buy passes to get on the train at the new Assembly Row stop in Somerville, but ran into a problem.
"I'm not holding my breath on that one," one passenger said in reference to the 15 percent discount commuters were promised for the T's bad winter performance.
"So now I have to pay my monthly pass and I had to pay for this individual fare because they didn't accept credit cards," he said.
But at the stop that just opened last fall, on the first day pass holders are renewing their cards, but the machines are broken.
Another commuter told our Sharman Sacchetti by phone that she just didn't like the way she was treated.
"The T official simply said, 'You gotta go, I guess you can't ride the train today then or you gotta go walk across the parking lot and find an ATM or a store to get cash,'" she said.
That commuter was so upset that she emailed FOX25, and Sacchetti read that email to Governor Charlie Baker. He said he'd never heard about the issues before and that he'd check into it.
When asked if this was a problem in the MBTA culture, Baker said, "People telling customers sorry you can't ride the train today? I hope not. Obviously, this is a service agency and it needs to behave like a service agency."
In an email, the MBTA apologized and said that the outage was fixed Friday morning.
They're also trying to follow up with customers.
