BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- SkyFox captured the first video of accused Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as he's led back into Devens where he's being held. The bombing suspect was wearing an orange jail jumpsuit and sporting a beard.
Hours before this, there was heavy security at Federal Court in South Boston, as Tsarnaev attended his last hearing before his trial. It was a hearing also attended by bombing survivors, including Marc Fucarile, who lost a leg in the blast.
He had words with protesters outside, telling one woman to "get a life" and "go to work."
When asked about the exchange, Fucarile said, "I just asked her if she wanted to look at the evidence and see how she felt, that's all."
During the hearing Tsarnaev, dressed in a black sweater and gray pants, answered questions from Judge George O'Toole.
"Have you elected not to be present at the prior status conferences that we've had?" the judge asked.
Tsarnaev responded, "Yes, sir."
Then the judge asked if Tsarnaev has been kept up to date. He again responded, "Yes, sir."
And when asked if he's satisfied that his lawyers are acting in his best interests, Tsarnaev responded, "Very much."
When the proceedings had ended, Elena Teyer shouted out to Tsarnaev, in Russian and English.
Teyer later identified herself as the mother in law of Ibragim Todashev, who was killed by an FBI agent in Florida during questioning about Tamerlan Tsarnaev's role in the Waltham triple murders.
"I said in court 'Dzhokhar, you have a lot of supporters. We pray for you. We're here for you Dzhokhar. We know you're innocent. Be strong, son.'"
She went on to say that she is in touch with Tsarnaev's mother.
The words Teyer shouted affected Karen Brassard, a bombing survivor.
"She said something to the effect of 'don't kill an innocent boy,' and that was tough. That was tough," Brassard told Fox 25.
Brassard was wounded in the first bomb blast. She tells us she plans to attend court often.
"I want to be here, not so much for me to see him, but for him to see me," she said.
Watertown Police Chief Ed Deveau and MBTA Officer Dic Donohue, who was wounded in the Watertown shootout, left court without making any statement.
The judge says witness lists and exhibits will be released only after the jury is seated.
Jury selection starts on Jan. 5.
