BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Governor-elect Charlie Baker is set to meet with President Barack Obama at the White House Friday.
Fox 25 Political Reporter Sharman Sacchetti has confirmed Baker is expected to take part in a roundtable discussion with the President and six new Governors.
The President himself did not campaign for Baker's opponent, Attorney General Martha Coakley, but his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama did. Also Vice President Joe Biden, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton all came to Massachusetts to campaign for Coakley.
The group is also expected to meet with Biden.
Governor Patrick is a friend of the President. A Patrick spokeswoman says he is not expected to attend this meeting of newly named governors.
