LYNNFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Investigators believe an argument over naming a baby led to a double-murder and suicide in Lynnfield last night.
Police believe 51-year-old Joseph Cummings shot and killed his pregnant 35-year-old girlfriend Kimberly Nguyen and her 29-year-old sister Lilly before turning the gun on himself.
D.A. Jonathan Blodgett says he has information that the couple had argued over the name of the couple's baby before the murders and the suicide of Cummings.
Both the pregnant mother and the unborn child did not survive the shooting.
The 12-year-old child of Kimberly Nguyen did survive the shooting by running to a neighbor’s house and calling 911.
By the time emergency crews arrived they found three bodies at the property at 39 Ledge Road in Lynnfield.
This information was supplied by law enforcement. All persons are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
