Potential drug to control peanut allergies

Posted: Updated:
(MyFoxBoston.com) -- A drug to help peanut allergies may soon be a real thing.

It works like a nicotine patch and helps allergy sufferers by increasing their peanut tolerance.

During the latest round of testing, some patients were able to eat the equivalent of four peanuts with no problems.

The French company hopes to sell the drug to Americans by 2018.
