Although the National Hurricane Center is NOT tracking Bill, the Weather Prediction Center is!
Bill is currently a tropical depression with winds dropping to 25 mph with the 5 AM update. The center of the system is 80 miles southeast of Oklahoma City, but associated bands of heavy rain reach into TX, LA, AR, OK, KS and MO.
Rainfall will continue to be the biggest hazard attached to Bill, even as it loses tropical depression status on Saturday and it gets absorbed into a front. It has already produced over a foot of rain in parts of Texas and Oklahoma. Flash flooding is a very real threat.
The remnants of Bill will bring the possibility of downpours to New England Sunday. The exact timing may waiver, but we are currently favoring the late afternoon and Sunday night for the greatest rain threat here. Models are producing 0.5-1” rainfall in Massachusetts. Those totals may require slight adjustment as we determine the path of the deepest moisture.
