MBTA employee injured after being struck by trolley car

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An MBTA was injured after being struck and dragged by a Green Line trolley.

The incident happened Monday night and was causing "severe delays" on the B line, according to MBTA.com.

According to the transportation authority, a Green Line trolley struck an inspector, and  then she was dragged for a short distance after her clothes appeared to have gotten caught on the trolley.

The employee was conscious and alert when she was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She reported neck pain and a knee injury.

The incident happened at the Harvard Ave stop, and shuttle buses were replacing train service between Babcock Street and Boston College while the scene was cleared and investigators looked into the incident.
