BOSTON (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man with two warrants out for his arrest was taken into custody on Saturday after police say he knocked over a vending machine.
Transit Police received a call around 12:40 a.m. that a man had knocked over a vending machine at Stony Brook station. When officers arrived, an MBTA employee described the suspect and the direction he fled.
Officers were able to stop 22-year-old Dayquan Hardy, who they say violently resisted arrest.
Hardy was taken into custody and charged with malicious destruction of property.
During the booking process, officers discovered that Hardy had two warrants out for his arrest for assault and battery on an elderly/disabled person and assault and battery on a public employee.
