Man shot and robbed in Dorchester near Ashmont T station - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition early Wednesday morning after a shooting in Dorchester.

The shooting took place before 5:15 a.m. on Bailey Street near the Ashmont MBTA station.

Police say the victim, a 50-year-old man, was robbed of $16 before being shot in the thigh.

Witnesses say the gunman ran towards the train station.
