LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Police have arrested a Lowell barber they say was selling heroin out of his barbershop and using a false identity.
The Sun reports that detectives executed a search warrant at the D Power Barbershop on Wednesday where they say they found 13 bags of heroin, more than $300 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.
The owner identified himself as 42-year-old Norberto Aponte, but police say his real identity is Luis Sevilla-Ortiz.
Sevilla-Ortiz was already wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in Worcester Superior Court to face drug trafficking charges, and on a warrant out of Fitchburg District Court for drunken driving.
He was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and providing a false name. He was held overnight at the police station pending arraignment Thursday.
