(MyFoxBoston.com) -- The NFL rejected the NFLPA's request for Roger Goodell to recuse himself from Tom Brady's appeal hearing related to deflategate.
The NFLPA asked earlier this week to have someone other than the NFL commissioner to hear the case. Goodell was given this right under the collective bargaining agreement.
There is no doubt that this is disappointing news for Brady, who had hoped to get an independent arbitrator to hear his appeal.
Some say this could increase the chances of Brady's case heading to federal court.
