SALEM, N.H. (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- A New Hampshire man was arraigned in court Tuesday related to allegations that he exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl in a Barnes & Noble bookstore, his third offense.
Jeffrey Gelinas, 39, of Manchester, N.H. was ordered held on $50,000 cash bail after his court appearance, where he was charged with indecent exposure/lewdness, with two prior offenses, a Class A felony.
Police allege that on April 12, the victim was at the bookstore with her father and older sister. She told officers she was in the children's section of the store when the man, later identified through store security video as Gelinas, stood next to her and exposed his genitals to her.
When police confronted Gelinas with a photo from the video surveillance, officers said he identified himself as the man in the photo and said he knew what he did was wrong.
While the latest incident happened last month, Gelinas has exposed himself twice before, according to court documents, in 2013 and 2014. The victim in the 2013 indecent exposure was also an 11-year-old girl.
Gelinas is also known as "Jack the Snipper," as he was
considered a suspect in 2003 and 2004 for a string of burglaries in which he broke into apartments in Durham, N.H., and cut off pieces of sleeping women's clothing.
