Patriots fans, lets come to grips that Tom Brady is likely to be suspended two to four games for "Deflategate."
So, it's my opinion that the Patriots should take heed from my father and hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Currently it appears the back-up plan is second-year quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Garoppolo, a star on the practice field as the Patriots prepared for the Russell Wilson and the Seahawks, is likely not ready to be a starter in the regular season. Pats Nation has to look beyond Garoppolo's massive numbers of 70.4 completion percentage and 101.2 passer rating, to understand that inserting the second rounder out of Eastern Illinois into the starting role will be like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.
Garappolo was a monster during his senior year in college, throwing 48 touchdowns to only eight picks. If you learned anything from him imitating Wilson? He's a lot more mobile than Brady.
After Garappolo it goes from bad to worse, as the third quarterback on the roster is Garrett Gilbert, a rookie out of SMU.
