NH man allegedly pulls gun after being refused entry into bar

MANCHESTER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was arrested after police say he threatened someone while holding a gun.

An officer was patrolling Elm Street around 1 a.m. on Wednesday when 29-year-old Richard Baker flagged him down to tell him that he had been threatened by an unknown man with a gun.

Baker said that he saw 22-year-old Joseph Riley and 21-year-old Stefan Galvin trying to enter McGarvey's Pub. Riley and Galvin were reportedly fighting with the bartender, who said they were too drunk to get in.

Baker said he thought his presence would help avert a fight, so he stood near the bartender. Baker said that Riley then pulled out a handgun, pulled the slide back and loaded a round into the chamber. Feeling threatened, Baker flagged down an officer.

Riley was found in possession of a Glock .380 caliber handgun and arrested for criminal threatening. Riley was released on $2,000 bail and is due in court on June 9.
