NH woman tied up by burglars found 9 hours later

KEENE, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are searching for two burglary suspects they say tied up a woman in her home.

Officers responded to the home on River Road around 8:30 a.m. on Monday after hearing reports of a burglary. Police say a 60-year-old woman was found tied up in her basement. The victim was in critical condition due to an existing medical condition and was taken to the hospital.

Police say that around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, two men surprised the victim in her home when she went to let her dog out. The woman fought with the two men but was overpowered and tied up in the basement. The victim was found nine hours later by a contractor doing work on her home.

The suspects stole several items of jewelry, as well as several gold and silver coins and bars.

The suspects are believed to be two white men, possibly in their twenties or early thirties. Police released surveillance photos of the men, anyone with information is urged to call New Hampshire State Police at (603) 223-8494.
