Michael Henrich returned to New England and joined FOX25 Morning News as a reporter in February 2015.
Prior to his arrival at FOX25, Michael served as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor at WXIN-FOX59 and WTTV-CBS4 in Indianapolis. While there, he covered many of the region's most impactful events, including the infamous South Side Explosion and the tragic killing of two Indianapolis police officers.
Michael has received several awards and an Emmy nomination in his career. In 2013, he was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for his breaking news reporting.
Giving back is a major priority in Michael's life. He has volunteered for numerous causes, especially those affecting the lives of children, and he helped the Special Olympics reach record fundraising levels with its Plane Pull Challenge.
A New York native with family living throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Michael has worked as an anchor, reporter, web producer and desk assistant in Indiana, Oklahoma (KOKH-FOX25), Ohio (WNWO-NBC24), Vermont (WFFF-FOX44/WVNY-ABC22), New York (News 12 Interactive) and Washington, D.C., (ABC News).
While studying abroad in Berlin, Germany, he met his now-wife, Renee. His family jokes that he traveled halfway across the world just to meet a girl from Wisconsin; Michael and their two wonderful sons are very glad he did.
