CHARLOTTE, N.C. — (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A viewer snapped this photograph Monday of his daughter interacting with a Charlotte police officer and shared it on Twitter.

The officers were routinely driving through the neighborhood in the University area.

The 1-year-old girl's ball had run out in front of the car, and the officers safely stopped and offered toy rescue assistance.

The toddler's high-five to the officer made everyone's day.
