MyFoxBoston.com) -- An inmate is armed and on the loose after escaping custody at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Police say the prisoner was in the custody of a private security guard when the prisoner overpowered the officer and escaped.
The prisoner has been identified as Wossen Assaye. Assaye stands 6-feet tall and weighs 170-pounds. He is wearing nothing but a hospital gown.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are in the area searching for him. Roads around the hospital have been shut down. The hospital is in lockdown.
Assaye is now on the run and considered armed and dangerous.
