JOB TITLE: Digital Content Manager

SUMMARY: WFXT
has an immediate opportunity for a Digital Content Manager who will oversee the station's strategy and execution of digital coverage on all platforms.
This position will have oversight of the design and functionality of all digital products.
The successful candidate will also ensure that there is collaborative and effective news coverage and marketing across all platforms.
Previous success growing website, mobile and social media views/visits/engagement is essential, and experience improving performance from metrics is a must.
The successful candidate must be familiar with basic HTML coding and content publishing systems.
This position includes having a hands-on role in creating and posting content to the station's digital and social media platforms, working on sales initiatives, and sending out breaking email, text and push alerts. Five years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a television newsroom, is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee digital strategy and execution
Oversee design and functionality of all digital products
Understand and Use Metrics to maximize growth on all platforms
Create and post content to station website and apps
Send Breaking News Email, Text Messages and Push Alerts
Create engagement on posts to Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms
Effectively market station's on-air daily news coverage and special promotable stories on digital-social media.
Digitize video
Coordinate User Generated Content station's digital platforms
Supervise digital producers
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must have strong writing skills as well as an understanding of breaking email, text and push alerts.
Strong knowledge of metrics and social media platforms is crucial.
Must be familiar with basic HTML coding and use of a publishing system.
Must also have working knowledge of Photo Shop and the use of video editing software.
