AP Photo/Pablo Martinez MonsivaisBOSTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is hosting an event aimed at linking up Massachusetts business owners with federal agencies looking to purchases goods and services.
The Massachusetts Democrat said the event provides a forum for top federal contractors and government agencies to meet one-on-one with qualified small business owners.
She said the forum also lets businesses highlight their services and goods and learn how to take advantage of business opportunities with the federal government.
The event is a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration's American Supplier Initiative in partnership with the U.S. General Services Administration.
Warren said more than 200 people attended the 2014 Massachusetts Business Matchmaker, and approximately 160 small businesses from across the state were represented.
The event will take place Monday at the Sheraton Framingham.
