Netanyahu voices strong opposition to Iran deal in address to Congress

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to lay out specific concerns about an emerging nuclear deal between Iran and world powers when he speaks to a joint session of Congress today.

The controversial speech comes just two weeks ahead of a tight national election in which Netanyahu is fighting to hold onto his job.

It has aggravated strained relations between Jerusalem and Washington and incensed Netanyahu critics in Israel.
