FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he doesn't know how 11 of the 12 footballs used in the AFC Championship game lost pressure, sparking the controversy now known as deflate-gate.

"I didn't alter the ball(s) in any way," Brady said.

Brady echoed what his coach, Bill Belichick, had said earlier in the day, remarking that he had not heard of the growing controversy until the Monday after the game.

"It wasn't even an inkling of a concern of mine that they were any different, first half, second half," Brady said.

More than anything, Brady reiterated that he didn't know how the footballs changed weight or when that occurred.

"I have no knowledge of anything," he said. "I have no knowledge of any wrongdoing, as far as I know."

Brady said he has not spoken with the league in the course of its investigation.
