BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Gov.-elect Charlie Baker has appointed Kristen Lepore as his secretary of administration and finance.
Lepore, currently a vice president of government affairs for Associated Industries of Massachusetts, previously served as deputy chief of staff and director of fiscal policy in the administration of Republican Gov. Paul Cellucci.
The Republican governor-elect says he selected Lepore for the key financial position because of her "experience spans the local, state, federal and private sectors, with key positions working with fiscal policy, economic development and education."
Lepore said in a statement that "Crafting the next fiscally responsible budget while investing in the people and services instrumental to making Massachusetts great is the administration's top priority and a duty I am humbled to take on."
