BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Massachusetts residents voted “yes” on Ballot Question 1 Tuesday, which will stop tying the state gas tax to the Consumer Price Index.
Though the gas tax will not get lower, it will stop future increases that would automatically occur without any input from lawmakers.
In 2013, a transportation financing law tied the gas tax to inflation. That will no longer happen.
