BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A supporter of Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker reportedly called an aide of Governor Deval Patrick's Tuesday morning to schedule a meeting with Patrick on Wednesday to go over the transition.
The race for governor has been close between Baker and Democrat Martha Coakley. However, before the polls were closed former Chair of the state Board of Education, James Peyser, called one of the governor's aides and left a message asking for the transition meeting, according to the Boston Globe.
A spokesman for Coakley told the Globe that they have not attempted to set up a transition meeting.
