It's down to the wire as Baker, Coakley try to win some last minute votes

Posted: Updated:
(MyFoxBoston.com) -- It's down to the wire. In less than 24 hours, voters will decide who will be the new Governor of Massachusetts.

Polls open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, and voters who expect to be out of town have until noon on Monday to apply for an absentee ballot. Those ballots must arrive at your local election office before 8 p.m. Tuesday night in order for them to count.

It is going to be a busy Monday for the two gubernatorial front-runners as they try to win over some last minute votes. Democrat Martha Coakley is expected to attend events in six towns today. She'll join Governor Deval Patrick at a rally in Boston later tonight.

Republican Charlie Baker will travel to Braintree, Stoneham, and Swampscott today. Over the weekend, he visited a Roxbury organization that works with urban student athletes.

On Sunday, both candidates took some time out of their schedules to pay respects to former Boston Mayor Tom Menino at Fanueil Hall.
