(
MyFoxBoston.com) -- The fourth and final question on the ballot is about earned sick time for employees. The proposed law would allow certain employees in the state to earn and use paid sick days.
The proposal is for both public and private employees, and would allow anyone working for an employer that has 11 or more employees to earn and use up to 40 hours of paid sick time per calendar year. People who worked for employers with fewer than 11 employees could earn and use up to 40 hours of unpaid sick time per calendar year. Employees would earn one hour of sick time per every 30 hours worked.
A
yes vote would allow employees in Massachusetts to earn sick time and use it under certain conditions.
A
no vote would keep the law the same.
