(
MyFoxBoston.com) -- One nurse who contracted Ebola after caring for Thomas Duncan has been identified.
Nina Pham, 26, is the first person to contract the virus on U.S. soil. The nurse received a blood transfusion on Monday from Ebola survivor doctor Kent Brantly. CDC officials say Pham is "clinically stable."
It is unclear how the 26-year-old contracted the virus. CDC officials say that there may have been a "breach in hospital protocol", but did not identify what the possible breach was.
Pham's dog is also in isolation. Men in full protective suits removed him from her apartment yesterday. Texas A&M veterinary experts will now monitor the dog for 21 days.
