BOSTON (AP) - The group pushing to bring the 2024 Summer Olympics to Boston raised nearly $2.9 million during the first quarter of the year, and spent just over $2 million.
That's according to a report released Friday by Boston 2024.
The biggest donors to the group were John and Cyndy Fish, who contributed between $1 and $2 million. John Fish is a local construction magnate and the group's former leader.
The law firm Mintz Levin and the data storage company EMC Corp. each contributed between $500,000 and $1 million.
The report also included salaries of those working for the group.
Six people are pulling down annual salaries of more than $100,000 including the group's chief executive officer and former state Transportation Secretary Richard Davey, who is making $300,000 annually.
