Patriots: Deflategate report conclusions 'incomplete, incorrect and lack context'

Posted: Updated:
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The Patriots issued a response to the Wells Report on Thursday, saying that the conclusions in the report "are, at best, incomplete, incorrect and lack context."

The Patriots say that the report dismisses the scientific explanation for the loss of psi and interpret texts that were meant to be humorous as a plot to deflate the balls.

According to the Patriots response, "there is no evidence that Tom Brady preferred footballs that were lower than 12.5 psi and no evidence anyone even thought that he did."

The Patriots add that the "inconsistencies in logic and evidence are ignored."

The report, released May 6, found it probable that the Patriots deliberately deflated the balls used in the AFC Championship game and that Brady was at least generally aware of the rules violation.
