Hernandez's fiancee dodges question about testifying in murder trial

Posted: Updated:
FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxboston.com) -- Aaron Hernandez's fiancee Shayanna Jenkins left the former New England Patriot's murder trial Wednesday with a police escort, one day after being granted immunity in his murder trial.

FOX25's Ted Daniel asked Jenkins when she left court if she planned to testify against Hernandez. She ignored the question and continued walking.

The decision was made public in a one page order obtained by FOX25. It means Jenkins could be compelled to tell the jury everything she knows about her man's alleged involvement the Odin Lloyd murder and her own alleged involvement in the possible disposal of the murder weapon.

In court Wednesday, Jenkins sat in her usual spot behind Hernandez as Trooper Michael Lombard testified about video he recorded at the crime scene. Multiple shots of Lloyd's body from multiple angles displayed on the courtroom monitors. Daniel sat two rows behind Lloyd's mother, who looked down when the photos of her son were shown, possibility because the judge ordered her not to cry.

With his questioning in the courtroom, Hernandez's Lawyer Jamie Sultan tried to suggest police were careless and targeted.

It could be a hard sell to the jury, especially if the person believed to be closest to Hernandez testifies.
