FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Opening statements in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial in Bristol County have been delayed because a juror needs to be replaced, according to FOX 25's Ted Daniel.

Bristol County Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh announced she had received a letter from a juror before announcing that the court would seek a new juror in the trial. Interviews have already begun among alternates.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to killing semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd in 2013. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée. He was found shot to death in an industrial park near Hernandez's home, not far from Gillette Stadium.

In court for today's expected opening statements were Hernandez's brother, D.J. Hernandez, his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins, and his mother Terri Hernandez.

When Hernandez walked into the courtroom, he didn't even glance at his fiancée, according to Daniel.

Hernandez's fiancée's sister, the former girlfriend of Odin Lloyd Shaneah Jenkins, was also in court. She was sitting with Lloyd's mother and not with her sister, according to Daniel.
