BOSTON (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- Governor-elect Charlie Baker has chosen Chelsea city manager and Democrat Jay Ash to be the secretary of the state's housing and economic development agency, according to a Baker adviser.
It's the first public decision on a cabinet choice for the new governor-elect.
Baker has long maintained his administration will be bipartisan. The adviser confirmed to Fox 25's political reporter Sharman Sacchetti that Ash was approached over the weekend for the position.
Right now, the current Housing and Economic Development Secretary under Governor Deval Patrick is Greg Bialecki.
