DARTMOUTH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Two Dartmouth men were arraigned on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to break into an Isaac Circle home.
The resident tells police that he heard a window break in his kitchen around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. When he entered the kitchen, he allegedly saw two men he knows standing outside the window who then ran off into the woods.
Just moments later a Dartmouth Police officer discovered two men fitting the description walking in the woods on Brightman Lane. Police arrested Joshua Sylvia, 29, and Mathew Silva, 30. Silva was allegedly in possession of two knives and a window punch at the time of arrest.
Sylvia is charged with destruction of property as well as malicious and attempted breaking and entering into a building during daytime for felony.
Silva faces charges that include destruction of property, malicious, attempted breaking and entering in the daytime for felony while armed, possession of burglarious instrument, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
