WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A Worcester man has been sentenced to three concurrent 15- to 16-year terms in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and other charges in connection with a Dudley home invasion that left two people dead.
Marc Letang pleaded guilty to the reduced charges Thursday in Worcester Superior Court in the middle of his murder trial.
Prosecutors alleged that the 22-year-old Letang took part in the July 2007 home invasion that left Aaron Bash and Denise Johnston dead, and Joanne Mercier with gunshot wounds to the head.
Letang's lawyer said his client went to the apartment with a friend and had no idea a shooting would take place.
The alleged gunman, John LaChance, still faces charges. A mistrial was declared in his case after his defense lawyer fell ill.
