KINGSTON, Mass. (FOX 25 / myfoxboston) - State Police are asking the public for their assistance in the identification of two young men they believe are connected to the Route 3 sniper shootings.

Police are asking that the two young men contact them. They also ask that if anybody has any information as to the identities of the two men to please contact police investigators at (781) 585-0523 or state troopers at (508) 923-4265.

There is no word as to where the photo came from or who the two boys are.

Five motor vehicle passenger side windows were shattered last week with what appears to be a some kind of projectile. Police are considering the possibility of a pellet gun. So far there are no suspects.

State Police are continuing dedicated patrols along that stretch of Route 3 by ground units and the department's Air Wing. The State Police Plymouth County Detective Unit is assisting field troopers in this investigation.
