QUINCY - Drunken driving charges against a Milton man who injured a state trooper in a car crash will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for a year.

Wayne LeDuc pleaded to sufficient facts in Quincy District Court and the case was continued for a year.

Prosecutors say the 40-year-old LeDuc was drunk on March 13 when he struck a state police cruiser on Interstate 93 north in Quincy. The cruiser then struck the trooper, who was out of his vehicle after pulling over another car.

Trooper Brian Berry was treated for leg injuries at a hospital and released the next day.

The Patriot Ledger reports that charges of driving negligently and obstructing an emergency vehicle were dismissed in court last week.
