QUINCY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A Dorchester man faces charges he kidnapped a 15-year-old girl at a North Quincy inn.
Norman Barnes, 28, was arraigned Friday in Quincy District Court, where he hid his face from cameras.
Police say Barnes kidnapped the girl and held forced her into prostitution for nearly two weeks.
State Police Trooper Gale Bettinger was working a traffic detail near the Neponset River Bridge at around 1 p.m. Thursday when a passerby told her a fight was happening at the nearby Best Western Adams Inn. When Bettinger arrived, she saw Barnes running away. She caught up to him and arrested him as he tried to climb a fence.
