HARWICH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A mother and her teenage children are accused of running a marijuana growing operation out of their Harwich home.
Sandra Brietzke, 44, and 17-year-old Joshua Brietzke were arrested Friday and charged with manufacturing/cultivating marijuana, the Cape Cod Times reports.
The pair is scheduled to appear in Orleans District Court today on charges they ran a marijuana growing operation out of their 21 Liberty Trail home.
Police went to the Liberty Trail home with an arrest warrant for Sean Ritchie. The warrant - a charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a school zone- was the result of traffic stop on August 17 in Harwich.
Officers found two separate grow operations while searching the house, the Cape Cod Times reports. One of the operations was inside a bathtub and the other was in a closet in the basement. Police confiscated 40 marijuana plants.
Sean Ritchie was also arrested. Abigail Brietzke age 19, has been charged with Manufacturing/Cultivating Marijuana and will be summoned to Orleans District Court at a later date.
