WORCESTER - Two man charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Worcester six years ago have pleaded guilty.

Steven Santiago of Natick had faced a murder charge in connection with the June 2005 shooting of 20-year-old Michael Connors, but pleaded on Thursday in Worcester Superior Court to charges including manslaughter. He was sentenced to 9 to 11 years in prison.

Marques Anderson of Worcester was sentenced to time served after pleading guilty to charges including being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Prosecutors say Santiago shot Connors when he went to Connors' apartment to pick up his girlfriend from a party in a car driven by Anderson and a confrontation ensued.

Authorities say Connors was shot four times.

Santiago's lawyer sought a slightly shorter sentence.
