(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Jackie Peterson, 58, is the Dean of Students and Vice President of Student Affairs at the College of the Holy Cross. She stays busy with her career and her family.

But in 2010, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. There are three receptors that typically fuel most breast cancers, estrogen, progesteron, and her2. In Triple Negative patients, neither is found which makes mosts treatments void.

Peterson has no family history of Breast Cancer, so her diagnosis came as a surprise.
