Why?
This was the worst dining experience I've had in Boston. I simply cannot understand how this place gets so many good reviews. The pizza was bland and overpriced; our waiter indifferent at best. When we asked for bread (because of the loooong wait) we were given stale bread and CHARGED for it. Atmosphere is nothing special. A very negative experience.

Amazing Italian Dinner with Top Service and...GLUTEN FREE!
My wife and I spent an evening in Boston to celebrate her Birthday! We had been craving Italian in the North End, but since my wife was diagnosed with a wheat gluten intolerance/allergy (Celiac Disease) in the past year...the North End seemed like an impossibility until I read about NEBO.

We were astonished by the menu...a complete-full menu for gluten free dining in addition to the regular menu.

In order to share dishes we both ordered from the gluten free menu. We started with a to-die-for eggplant appetizer with mozzarella and tomato sauce...yum!

We then had the Pasta (yes gluten free pasta) with pancetta and onion...awesome...you would never guess you were eating gluten free!

We also split a fig and prociutto gluten free pizza...OUR FAVORITE PIZZA PERIOD! Yum! In a million years you will not believe it is gluten free.

We were so impressed with our server and Carla, one of the owner's was so caring and came over to chat with us several times about the menu and the restaurant. Her enthusiasm and the efforts of her team have truly paid off!

We couldn't reccommend a restaurant more highly...try it...you'll love it.

We will be back and bring our friends and family! Thank you again Carla!

Great food, great atmosphere and great hosts
We are visiting from Washington, DC and wanted to experience the North End. We found Nebo in one of the books and made our reservations. Carla and Christine, the owners came by our table to check on us throughout the meal. When Christine found out we were from out of town, she sent Carla over to help us plan the rest of the evening as well as our next day in Boston. And to top it off, the Sox won 3-1! We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to get back to Boston.

Great people... Great food
My wife I have been going in to Nebo regularly for about 2-and -a-half years now, and have grown to feel as at home at the bar or at a table as we do in our very own living room. The owners Carla and Christina have remembered us by name from the second time we dined at Nebo and are never too busy to talk with us about just everyday life, nor is the bartender Brian... great guy to talk to.
Oh, and the food... ha. The homemade pasta is apparently still made with a knife and broomstick, and the proof is in the taste. I recommend the Ricotta Gnocchi. The pizza's as well as most of the other delicious menu items are also made with homemade ingredients and taste just as one would expect homemade italian food to taste. Also, the draft beer at Nebo, for some reason, is excellent.
Nebo is a great place for a date or any time you want to eat great food in a laid-back but beautiful environment.

Absolutely Floored- for both Celiac's and the Rest...
Excellent atmosphere, beautiful decor, and lovely staff. Incredibly hospitable to my gluten free needs. The menu for those of us who suffer from Celiac's is incredibly extensive, not the typical "list" of four or five substandard creations a restauarnt has to offer from us. You can expect the unexpected here, not only for people without food allergies, but for the people with Celiac's as well; I had a delicious, gourmet pizza that was created upon the most genuine tasting bread I've had since diagnosed. Congenial and appreciative, the head chef extends her welcome to all and is open to all the comments and suggestions you could offer - although we had very few! We were happily surprised by the treat she had prepared for us - a gluten free sicilian slice, which tasted as though it had been cooked on french bread.... delish! I give it a 5 out of 5, and my son who dined with me [and does not have Celiac's] reccomends the homemade pasta with scallops as well. A definite must if you have gluten allergies when in Boston!!!!
