I started going to Marie in 1986 when my dog had a stomach problem that the vet felt could only be managed with steriods for the rest of his life. This was not an option for my young dog. Marie gave him about 6 treatments and his issues resolved. I beleive I had to go in for a tune-up a couple times during his long 15 years of healthy life. Since then Marie has worked on my other dogs, myself, my husband, successfully helped my sister with a fertility issue and has treated many friends and friends' dogs. Marie has decades of training and studied in China under a Master Acupuncturist as well as in the US. She has taught at the New England School of Acupuncture and is an author. I feel completely safe with Marie as she is careful and thoughtful with her treatments.

Marie I cant say enough about her. She does herbal remedies as well as is an exceptional acupuncturist. I went to her for herbal remedies. She went so over the expected help. She sat with me with my cat and went over all the pros and cons, gave me some remedies which helped. Anytime and I called her several times for my own needs, she would help me so much. When my cat passed away, Marie sent a donation to Save a tree in my cat's honor. She renewed my faith in human beings. She is a wonderful person and she rocks big time!

Marie Cargill is an honest, knowledgeable acupuncturist. Yes first and foremost her training is in acupuncture, but she's been treating animals of all kinds for over 20 years. Marie has amassed a large amount of knowledge concerning the treatment of animals with homeopathics, diet, and acupuncture. I highly trust her and recommend her to anyone.

I would much rather have an acupuncturist needling my dog than I would a vet (with some weekend course education). Unfortunately I feel that many vets fall along the same paths as medical doctors - into CONVENTIONAL medicine.

If you're animal is having a difficult time with their health and you want a fresh independent approach to treating it go to Marie she's great.

I took my dog to her with hopes she might alleviate her pain and inflammation due to arthritis. Marie is not very communicative but I soon realized that is because she has no formal training for dog acupuncture- a big concern! I assumed she was a vet- especially since she was quick to criticize my vet prescribed diet and current therapies for my dog's arthritis but when I asked her questions she admitted she had not been schooled in veterinary medicine at all. My dog was flinching and uncomfrtable with the treatment and Marie just shrugged. My feeling is if a treatment causing discomfort one of two things needs to happen- 1/ an explanation 2/ a change- Marie basically stuck pins in my dog and disappeared for over 40 minutes while my dog was in obvious discomfort. Marie was indifferent to that discomfort and that is the gauge I think she ultimately completely failed for me. She offered no explanation, no change in plan to try, nothing. She just quietly shrugs and goes back to her people patients who are her bread and butter and who she cares more about. I suggest Leah Postman- she is pricey but hey- she is a real vet and as one she can actually offer an educated perspective and a mix of western and eastern medicine.
