Less than mediocre! I can not exaggerate how disappointing this experience was! Jill lacks in every way shape and form! I went in last week for a trim, after painstakenly growing my hair out for the past 2 1/2 years she completely ignored and went ahead to chop off well, leaving me with the awkward, lackluster, haircut that I so wanted to avoid... and was the reason for me growing my hair out in the first place.

If I had known she would have chopped my hair so short, I would have 1) not gone there and saved myself the pain or 2) asked for an angled cut so it's not so darn boring and ... just there. I am strongly considering going to another salon this weekend

If I'm going to shell out $100 for a haircut (which, by the way, on the website they state that the haircuts are $60 and up, and I chose to get my hair done by the only available stylist, Jill... bad mistake... they don't differentiate between the $60 cuts and the $100 cuts) then I'm going to want to walk out feeling like I got my money's worth. Not the case at all.

i recently had my haircut from val at avanti and i have to say its the best haircut ive ever had! i was searching for a new salon and avanti had so many good reviews online i called to make an appiontment..luckily i got in that same day..val was really friendly and explained the haircut she had in mind for me and i love it..i left feeling like a celebrity she gave me a cool curled blowout..ive gotten so many compliments..the whole salon is friendly from the assistants to the front desk..i definetly reccomend val at avanti

I have followed Louise Chobanian back to Avanti and I will never be dissapointed. She knows just how to suggest and veiw your image and style without pressure. Her talentsare endless. She sits with you and consults in detail and she listens. I have always recommended friends and family to her because she basis her buisness on refurals. She colors my hair with a multidementional tecnique that mimics natural looking locks. I have even had perms from her and my waves have looked amazingly natural.Louise Chobanian is #1 in our eyes... see for yourself!

Avanti Salon does everything to make you look and feel beautiful. Hair color, manicures, pedicures, micro-dermabrasions, facials, and all that jazz has women flocking to 11, Newbury Street despite insufficient parking. White walls and white light with rectangular mirrors gives a spacious look to the place. Be sure to meet Bernice, Alex or Nancy; they are fantastic.

First, Bernice is the greatest nail tech in Boston. The pedicures here are a little pricey at $50, but after a full hour of foot cleaning, my feet are so beautiful and soft you could kiss them! She uses this foot sanding machine that's not painful at all like some scrapers out there and your feet will come out smooth and polished. I go here as often as I can afford it. Lasts long enough for a polish change or two at the cheap places too.

Second, Julia does the most beautiful blowouts I've ever seen. Two friends of mine see her for cut and color and they kept coming back with shiny smooth, voluminous curls cascading down their shoulders. So, when I had an event, I went to her and have never had a better blowdry in my life. Now, I go to her for all my special occasions and it lasts for days. Holiday parties, new year's eve, birthdays...I look great that night and for a few days after. That's why I always make sure to get a blowdry from her just before vacations, so when I step off the plane, I know I already look fabulous.
