BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A union representing more than 2,500 Boston firefighters announced their support for Boston hosting the 2024 Olympic Games.
"We believe this is a unique opportunity for the city to shine,” said Richard Paris, president of Boston Firefighters Local 718.
Paris continued to say that the union believed Boston would benefit from transforming its infrastructure to a more usable space, specifically in regards to the potential improvements to our public transportation system, roadways and housing.
"We’ve always been at the forefront of social, political and technological advancements," Paris added. "Let's continue this tradition of improving our city and the world we live in by hosting the Olympic Games.”
