MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- Neighbors describe Sudbury Valley Estates as a quiet place to live. One even called it the "nicest and safest neighborhood" in the city, but this weekend, two homes were broken into while the owners were away.
"I received a phone call from my neighbor saying she was robbed, and she was very frantically upset, naturally," said Hormoz Panhi, a neighbor of one of the burglary victims.
Loaded guns that were locked in a safe were stolen from the house on Emer Street.
Along with with that, thieves stole a brand new 2015 brown Subaru Outback. Police say the suspects are driving around in the car, which was bearing Massachusetts license plates 4FN700.
"They have been away and they came home and they saw all of their belongings were gone," Panhi said.
Around the corner on Littlefield Lane, another burglary.
"My wife came home, and found that the house had been disturbed," said victim Matt, who asked that his last name be withheld.
Precious mementos were stolen, including a Pandora bracelet that Matt's father-in-law, who passed away a few years ago, gave to his daughter.
Matt's camera was also stolen. His son's L.L. Bean backpack was also taken, but the parents are just glad no one was hurt.
